Refurbishment of La Parrilla restaurant will take place from first week of July and will re-open on the 2nd week of September 2008. When complete, the rejuvenated style of La Parrilla will be a combination of South American colonial style with age-distressed walls and an Argentinean flavour. A walk-in wine cellar will also be created; giving guests the opportunity to truly discover great food and wine. During this time, the restaurant will be entirely closed.

No structural or hard finishes are being revised; only the interior design of the restaurant. There may be some unavoidable noise disruptions, however we will monitor this as closely as possible, ensuring we minimise impact to guests.

We are embarking on a significant redevelopment of the children’s facilities at the hotel over the coming months.

The refurbishment of Sinbad’s Kids Club will involve an investment of approximately US$1.55 million (AED5.7 million) and will allow Jumeirah Beach Hotel to continue to offer our mutual guests the best possible family holiday experience. The new Sinbad’s Kids Club will be three times larger than the current club and provide our younger guests with over 1,100 m² (over 3,600 feet) of contained play areas. For parents, this means peace of mind knowing your children are enjoying a safe, secure and fun environment.

The refurbishment will commence on 1 July and is expected to be completed by 30 September 2008. The new Sinbad’s Kids Club will be constructed in line with British Childcare Standards and will include:

-   New play structure near the Family Pool
-   Fully air-conditioned enclosed area
-   Separate areas for toddlers, young children and older children (up to 12 years) 
-   Separate sleep area 
-   Arts and craft area
-   Sand and water play room
-   Theatre area 
-   Themed common play area for all children 
-   Child friendly toilets and change room
-   Sinbad’s garden area  

The new safety features being introduced as part of the enhancement for children include a monitored gate entry system and higher fencing. During the redevelopment, Sinbad’s Kids Club will continue to offer a full range of activities and services for children operating out of The Pavilion Sports Club. The Family Pool will remain open throughout the planned renovation and guests may also utilise the facilities of Sinbad’s Kids Club at our sister hotel Madinat Jumeirah.

The existing marina at Jumeirah Beach Hotel will undergo a redevelopment programme from 1 July to 30 September 2008. This is part of our desire to develop a luxury world class marina and refine the current service levels.

Marina Beach will be closed during this period and members are encouraged to use Main Beach and the resort pools. La Veranda, Waterfront and Marina restaurants will remain open during this time. The water sports activities will be relocated to main beach for the summer months. 

Development work will be conducted during daylight hours and the initial installation of the pontoon support columns will be the only significant noise disturbance during the enhancement period. During this time Jumeirah Beach Hotel and the Sports & Leisure team will ensure there is minimal impact to all guests with areas contained, where possible, to minimise disruption.
